9th Mile, Khanapara, Ri Bhoi, May 21, 2022: Considering current globalized competitive business scenario, a national seminar on ‘Mediating Role of Quality Management in Business Sustainability’ was organized by the Department of Business Administration, University of Science and Technology Meghalaya (USTM) yesterday, on 20th May at the university campus.
Prof. N. N. Sarma, VC (i/c), Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University (KKHSOU), Mr. Dipanjon Konwar, Quality consultant and Trainer and Prof. Arup Kumar Bakshi, Aliah University, Kolkata were the resource persons in the seminar. All the three resource persons of the seminar share their knowledge, and experiences from diverse fields.
Prof. N. N. Sarma highlighted changing importance, the concept of quality, and its management in business sustainability along with one remarkable point that nowadays quality is not a technical concept rather it is a business concept.
Being a professional quality consultant, Mr. Konwar had addressed various practical issues in defining and managing quality in terms of ISO certification to diverse organizations. Prof. Bakshi had explained quality concept in terms of branding and its psychological connectivity in elaborative way. He also talked about different new concepts in branding as well in quality management for sustaining a business.
